For a while ago I posted an insta-story post asking what you guys would like to see on the blog. Thanks for all the interesting requests 🙏🏽 I will be working on some of them and especially baking recipes are already on their way! 😎
I’ve also had many requests regarding skincare and makeup. I just think I would end up confusing you all with my “mixing 4 different lipliners”-technique and so on when it comes to makeup. So I’m not sure about jumping into makeup-posts at the moment 🙄
When it comes to skincare, I’ve always thought of sharing some skincare tips that have been working for me – both skincare products and DIY home remedies (which I’m a big time fan of).
But yes, I’m going to take one step at a time and start sharing some of my holy grail products 🙈 Cause sharing is caring and I also love to hear what has been working out for others and search for tips and tricks. So let’s go!👇🏽
When it comes to masks I’ve normally been using DIY masks only. But last year L’Oréal Paris launched a facemask serie that caught my attention. I didn’t know what to expect in the beginning, as I’d been using homemade masks for the past few years. But let me tell you, they’re really good! 👍🏽
Especially the “Pure Clay Glow Mask” with charcoal really surprised me so much so that it has become a part of my weekly routine. And another thing to point out is that it’s so affordable!
Pure Clay Glow Mask
This mask is a blend of three pure clays (kaolin, montomorillonite and ghassoul) combined with black charcoal which acts like a magnet to remove impurities from the skin.
Best for: All skin types
Opinion: I can say that my skin gets indeed much softer and glowing after every single time that I use this. I only use this mask 1-2 times a week compared to the recommended usage of 3 times. I felt like it was too much for my skin with 3 times. The only (very little) negative thing to say is that it’s a bit difficult to take off, but hot water will do. But it is definitely one of the products that has helped my skin to get more clear by getting rid of impurities and reduces dull skin overall. I highly recommend! ✋🏽🤗
Pure Clay Exfo Mask
It’s also a blend of the three pure clays mentioned above just combined with red algae extract instead. It exfoliates dead skin cells with apricot seeds, smooth imperfections, and tighten pores.
Best for: Very dull skin
Opinion: This mask is basically a scrub mask. It’s a bit difficult to apply on the skin as it has a very thick consistency compared to the charcoal-mask. I feel using it 3 times per week would over dry your skin. So I actually only use it when my skin has a lot of dead skin cells and needs a good exfoliation – maybe every second week. Otherwise it’s a good extra exfoliating boost-mask to replace your daily exfoliator once in a while.
NOTE: Be aware that these products are something that has been working for me. We all have different skintype so it’s all about trying to identify your own skintype and test what works best for you 🙌🏽
I hope this will help you! 🤓💗
